Top Tips
Appointments
We highly recommend an appointment at all times as we get extremely busy. This also allows us to make sure we have a bridal consultant available to give you the best possible service.
You are welcome to bring someone with you, we can comfortably seat 3/4 people . But remember too many opinions can be confusing so the fewer the better x
Do your homework bring pictures of dresses you like, also bring a pair of shoes the height you want to wear if you want to.
Remember to keep an open mind, sometimes what looks good on a picture won’t always suit you in person, also not all dresses look good on the hanger but they can look amazing on. Trust your consultant, their experience could help you find the dress of your dreams.
Budgets
We will always ask your budget to guide us to the best gowns for you to try. Decide your budget before you arrive, remember there will be other costs too eg alterations, hoop hire etc.
If you have a budget in mind please let us know, it will help us find the dress of your dreams. Trying on gowns above your budget could result in falling in love with a gown that’s out of reach. Dresses range from £899 to £1699. Off the peg dresses with upto 75% off their full price.
Weight Loss
Please note if you are wanting to loose weight tell the consultant when you are ordering, so she can take this into consideration.
Any weight loss will need to be achieved before your fittings start, approx 8 weeks before your wedding. Once you have started your fittings we will ask you to maintain your weight.
Remember that you need to have ordered at least 7 months before your wedding. Dresses can be sized down, but not every gown can be taken out so be realistic.
Ordering
It takes up to 20 weeks to get your gown, so please make sure you order in plenty of time. We also need up to 8 weeks for fittings and alterations, so allow 7 months as a minimum.
If your getting married in less than 7 months don’t panic! some companies do rush-cuts at an extra cost, some carry a little stock or we do have gowns that can be bought off the peg.
We also recommend you don’t start shopping until you are ready to commit to buying. Gowns can be discontinued at short notice.
Children
We love children but bridal shops are not very child friendly. We also want our brides to have a special experience with the focus on them.
If you are bringing children along, bring someone to look after them, we have an open staircase that would be dangerous to unattended children. Also our Bridal Rooms are upstairs, so we cannot allow pushchairs.
Children who are bored, tired or hungry can be a distraction so feel free to bring them some toys to keep them occupied. Sorry we do not allow food or drink in the bridal rooms.
