Top Tips

We highly recommend an appointment at all times as we get extremely busy. This also allows us to make sure we have a bridal consultant available to give you the best possible service.

Friends and Family

Are always welcome and we would encourage you to bring 2/3 close friends/family, but too many opinions can be conflicting so keep it to a minimum, remember it’s ultimately your choice. What you choose is not always what they may choose. You can always bring others along to your fittings to show them your choice.

Come Prepared

Do your homework bring pictures of dresses you like, but be open minded too , what looks good on a picture may not suit your body shape. Also trust your consultant, their experience could help you find the dress of your dreams. Not all dresses look good on the hanger but can look amazing on. Don’t try on too many you will only confuse yourself if you try on loads of dresses,

We will always ask your budget decide your budget and stick to it, don’t try on dresses if you can’t afford them, if you fall in love with a gown that’s too expensive nothing else will compare.

Weight Loss

If you want to lose a lot of weight then make a good start before shopping for gowns. What suits you as a curvy bride may completely change when you’ve lost 2 stone. Remember that you need to have ordered at least 7 months before your wedding, dresses can be sized down, but not every gown can be released so be realistic.

It takes up to 20 weeks to get your gown, so please make sure you order in plenty of time. We also need up to 8 weeks for fittings and alterations, so allow 7 months at the latest. If your getting married in less than 6 months some companies do rush-cuts at an extra cost or we do have gowns that can be bought off the peg. We also recommend you don’t start shopping until you are ready to commit to buying. Gowns can be discontinued this only causes disappointment.

In our experience children who are tired, hungry or misbehaving are a distraction. This is a time you want to feel special and pampered all eyes should be on you. Where possible ask a friend to babysit or toys along to keep them occupied (sorry we do not allow food or drinks in the bridal rooms).
